You will receive two clarifying shampoo treatments to remove any oils from the hair shaft. The hair is then dried. The keratin treatment is then applied to the hair in small sections using a color brush. A plastic cap is then applied over the hair to retain the body heat and activate the product. This is left to process for 40-50 minutes. Your stylist will then remove any excess product from your hair using a small tooth comb. The hair is then dried 100% with either a flat or round brush, depending on the desired outcome. The final step is to separate the hair into small sections and using the flat iron to smooth each section. Each small section is smoothed over 7-10 times.
The aftercare to this process is extremely imperative for the longevity of your treatment. You cannot shampoo or wet your hair for 72 hours after the treatment. If your hair happens to get wet, dry it as soon as possible and flat iron that section. You also may not put your hair up in any way for the 72 hours following the treatment.
